Crab Cakes no filler, all meat

I love, love, love crabcakes. Nothing says summer like some great seafood. Costco has a 1lb Phillips crabmeat for about $15. I’ve found you can make about 8 medium crabcakes with 1lb. 8! That feeds four adults! This is a simple recipe with no extra filler, just crab and spices.


  • 1lb fresh crabmeat
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp mayo
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs

Preheat the oven to 375, if baking.

In a large mixing bowl combine all the ingredients except for the crabmeat. Add the crabmeat and gently stir to combine. Separate into 8 lumps and then work into patties.

You can pan fry, broil or bake these tasty crabcakes. Bake for 12-15 minutes. I like to turn the broiler on high for one minute to get a nice brown crunch on the top. But be careful, the broiler will cook quickly!!
