Saturday Night Chicken and Baked Potatoes

Yes, it sounds riveting…I know. Like I told Ryan, we’ve got to eat chicken. But first there are few additions to the pantry I think everyone should be aware of.

First and foremost, Cavendars. Total rookie mistake for not having that on the original pantry list. This delectable Greek seasoning is good on EVERYTHING.  This spice is so useful on meats and vegetables. I suppose I’ve forgotten about it since I’ve had my other friend Mrs. Dash around. Move over Mrs. Dash, the Greek is back.

Secondly, Potato Topping. That IS what it’s called – look at the picture for reference. Generic name? Yes. Super tasty? Even Yesser. This little bag is located in the grocery store near the potatoes, possibly on an end cap. Find it, you’ll thank me.

It contents includes little dehydrated bits of heaven, onion, garlic, chives, and even butter. I don’t know how they do it – but it definitely gives life to a baked potato. Well let me rephrase. It gives life without having to add sour cream or cheese or bacon (all would be  WAY good and WAY fattening!)

Alas for Saturday night dinner, Cavendar’s rubbed grilled chicken and a baked potato topped with butter and potato topping.

It was a nice little Saturday night. Yum.

Enjoy!

B.
